old folks boogie

there i am skating. first time in ages. skating is like riding a bicycle: once you learn, you never forget. what you do forget is how after a long lay off how quickly one can get sore. so anyhow, i come home and, as i have been doing lately turn on some little feat - after a few tunes, on comes their old folks boogie which fairly well sums up how i feel right now:

Off our rockers, actin' crazy
With the right medication we won't be lazy
Doin' the old folks boogie
Down on the farm
Wheelchairs, they was locked arm in arm
Paired off pacemakers with matchin' alarms
Gives us jus' one more chance
To spin one more yarn

anyhow, i've really been getting into drawing and here is one i am quite fond of...

my drawing was based on the photo on the cover of his book, designing with web standards - best tech book i've seen in ages...

i haven't been posting many of my drawings lately - i have tried adding photoshop effects to some and it hasn't been working for me - i prefer the basic drawing - and taking photos of the drawing does not always translate well - this particular drawing i did photoshop to boost the contrast a bit to make it more like it looks like in person - the original photo was a bit washed out.
