i think i'm going to take up sketching again. my playing with the digital camera has reminded me how fun it is to do something for it's own sake. i remember, when i was just out of school and unemployed, staying up all hours of the night drawing (hey, cheap etnertainment) - really can get into the moment that way - i also recall it taught me a valuable lesson - often, by obsessing over a drawing and trying to make it "perfect" you end up screwing it up - the "imperfect" paradoxically can be better than the "perfect" which it's never going to be, anyhow...
